New School-wide
Athletic Letters
Athletes, if you have played a particular sport for three years, you have qualified for your Athletic Letter in that sport! To receive your letter, you must complete a form from the south main office and return it to the Phys. Ed. Office by Tuesday, May 22nd... no extensions!
China - March 2014
It's official. Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai - China - March Break 2014. Whether you are interested in the culture, the history, the economics,the architecture or the food...there is something for everyone on this amazing itinerary. If you want to find out more about this exciting March Break trip, see Ms. Loft in A117 and come to the meeting on Thursday June 14th at 7 pm with your parents. Lots of time to fundraise and save for this incredible trip.
Junior Boys Soccer
The junior boys soccer team pulled off an impressive win over Bishop Reding last night. Great defence by James, Mark, Matt, Evan and especially captain Andrew Bruce with Hunter in goal to finish 2 to 0. Boys, please listen to or check announcements tomorrow for Thursday's game against HT.
The WOSS Free the Children Committee
The WOSS Free the Children Committee meeting will be cancelled after school today but there will be an important meeting next Wed. Could all committee members please plan to attend next week's meeting.
School-wide Reminders
Avogadro Chemistry Contest
All those signed up to write the Avogadro Chemistry contest will be writing the exam on Thursday May 17th in room A122 during period 2. If there are any questions or concerns please see Mr. Cho in the Science office.
recognition assembly
A reminder to all students to hand in a data survey sheet for the recogniton assembly. If you forgot to put one in for last year you can still do so! Ask at the north or south main office.
WOSS Math Contest
All the teams are set for the WOSS Math Contest. They are all listed outside the Math Office. All students will be receiving an email this week on CHATT with the details. The contest will be periods 1 and 2 in the cafe this Friday.
New Oakville Hospital
Want to challenge your friend to a wheel chair obstacle course race? Well you can! tomorrow during periods 3 and 4 in front of the school. It only costs a dollar to play and win a freezie. All proceeds go to the New Oakville Hospital.
Day to End Homophobia
Thursday, May 17th is the International Day to End Homophobia. To show your support and help raise awareness to end homophobia, wear pink and purple on Thursday. The Positive Space Group will have a table in the caf during periods 3 and 4.
